Accent on Healing

Greetings!  My name is Darla Kim , the founder and owner of Accent On Healing. Please allow me to share my experience and a bit about myself with you.

 In  March, 2008 I fell down a step at work and breaking three bones in my left leg and sprained my right ankle at once. This stopped me in my tracks.! What a jolt to my system,  not being able to work, walk, get around or move much. This was definitely the opposite of what I was used to. I love being busy with work, family, friends, church and community service.   Being immobile, and depending on others was a humbling eye-opener for me. After surgery and 6 weeks in a cast, I couldn’t wait for the cast to be removed so I could get back to my normal routine.  

 Boy did I have another lesson to learn. My muscles atrophied, my joints stiffened and my body would not listen to what I needed it to do. I would attend my regular physician appointments only to hear, “You are in the beginning stages of healing, give it at least a full year and remember it will never be like it was.” I heard that so many times but I could not accept it. I thought there has to be a way to encourage and even speed up this healing process.

I visited to a chiropractor for advice on deep tissue massage and with that therapy was pleased with the results. Dr. Marina Banik, in South Pasadena, Ca., is a very caring Chiropractor and listens to her patients with the expertise of bringing other disciplines to the mix to assure the best healing outcome.

 Dr. Banik referred me to Henry Siegel, CEO of Magnus Magnetica, a company that markets and distributes the Delta Pulse, to see if it would assist my leg in healing. At this point my ankle was stiff; I walked with crutches and could go about 25 feet before I had to sit.  What a blessing to find this alternative treatment that gave me instant improvement. I walked home holding my crutches in my hand!

 My education is in theology, geriatric nursing, marketing and business and I am confident that brings a balanced look at the art and science of healing. The scripture says “We are fearfully and wonderfully made” Ps. 139:14.

 How interesting it is to me that humanity has invented a pulsed electro-magnetic field therapy device and this technology, in a highly  concentrated and focused treatment, can initiate the healing we need.

 I welcome many forms of alternative, non-invasive therapies and I am excited to not only be a recipient, but a contributor of this technology.  

 I have never looked back. I am so happy to bring this technology to all that are in pain, stiff, sore, or hurting in anyway.
